For The Sake of Relaxation...

It was a long and busy weekend. Nothing of much consequence to report, so if you're looking for something entertaining, check out the pics of signgrl -the-actress- extraordinaire . Actually, it did take me on a walk down memory lane: Grease, Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls and Annie Get Your Gun... but my shining moment was Josephine in HMS Pinafore. Oddly enough it was the only time I remember being as close to a normal weight as I can remember. Okay, so what was I saying? Oh! This weekend... I took Cassie to the Spring Festival sponsored by Johnson Space Center. She had fun petting the chicks, bunnies , sheep, and the rest. She even had the courage to sit on a cow for photo (I'll post later)! Her defining moment was when she played super-hero to a "flauter" (Flower). There was a minitature pony eating clover and he was getting too close to the flower for Cassie's liking. She was getting both visibly and vocally upset, not to mention frustrated. What did my lil'

The Nike Free 7.0 cross trainer is specifically designed for both linear and lateral fast feet training drills. Supportive, breathable, lightweight mesh and synthetic upper allows the natural motion of the foot. A supportive forefoot strap locks the foot down during cutting. A siped Phylite ™ midsole provides that free barefoot feel. A training-specific outrigger adds support and protection. Aggressive turf inspired traction pattern outsole for outdoor surfaces. Wt. 8.0 oz. Okay, so they're not the most attractive, but they'll do the job. Hubs has a pair, and he loves them. When you feel the inside, they feel like a pair of gloves. It's just the strangest thing. Training session was good yesterday. I'm working on getting a plan together for my Tri Training. The first goal is to swim 20 minutes non-stop, no matter the stroke. I already have an swimsuit I didn't wear for the 2003 tri , so I have to see if maybe that fits better now. Other than that, I just need

I know. Odd for me to be posting on a Saturday! I took off from work on Friday after having a string of rough nights with Cassie. In the last 2 weeks, she's been suffering from growing pains and teething, so my sleep has been broken night-in and night out, so it finally caught up with me. I treated myself off to a day of paid-time off on Friday -- which I literally spent doing laundry and food shopping. I did make time to have lunch with Hubby, so that was nice. :) Last night was another rough night. at 2 am I caved and kicked Hubs out of bed and brought Cassie in. She did quiet down, but she didn't go back to sleep until sometime between and 4! Argh! I had a 7am training session this morning, which meant I had to be at the gym by 6:45 starting my cardio! I did it... barely. My trainer started me on this balance trainer this morning, except I didn't get to sit on it... I got to turn it upside down and stand on it doing squats. It was one of the most awkward things I've

Just a Quickie

I'm back. Actually, I've been back for a week now but as usual I haven't had much time to update. Toronto was nice. I really liked the city, but it was freakin' cold! I left on the coldest day of Winter they had for the year. It was -21 C when I left, and despit it being celcius, it was still cold! They asked me to stay for a couple extra days. I had not packed to accommodate that sort of change in plans, so I had to pick-up some personal items and a pair of slacks appropriate for the office. I couldn't believe my eyes when I tried on my first pair of 16's and they fit! In almost 4 months, from a 26 to a 16! Of course not every 16 off the rack fits yet, but my 18's are getting larger every day. My trainer did my measurements for the month and will post some updated pictures this weekend. In a nutshell, I lost another 12" across my body: over 3" from my waist, over 2" from my chest, about 2 " from my hips and more than an inch from various

Snow... Everywhere!

So I'm here in Toronto, and it's snowing unbelievably! I went walking in the city and did a little shopping. Within 2 hours it was accumulating on the city streets. The snowflakes are the size of hail balls; it's sticking everywhere. The city reminds me of NY, except that everyone here is really nice -- no NY state-of-mind, if you know what I mean. I'm not implying all NY'rs are rude, but there are those few. ;) I'm here because our Toronto office is moving this weekend, and I'm helping to get all the technology up and running for Monday morning. I was the only one who came in this evening, so I'm here alone this evening. I was looking forward to finding a movie theatre and maybe seeing Dreamgirls, but with the snow the way it is, I'm not going anywhere; it will be a quiet night in Toronto for me. Of course the room is fully stocked with junk (for my convenience). I've already hidden the junk so it's out of sight; out of mind. I just know I&#
