I'm always out for recipes that have healthier ingredient alternatives. Seems like whenever I try to make a substitution, more often than not, the recipe fails. Every once in a while I find a blog full of edible inspiration... Emily at Daily Garnish recently published this recipe of her own creation.
It is fan-freakin'-tabulous... and buttah free, to boot!
This week started out with a *bang* yesterday doing the 70.3 in Galveston. Now, if I'm keeping it real, I only trained about a month for the swim so I wasn't completely deserving of a great swim time. I'm good with that. You get out what you put in.
It was a really tough race for everyone, including the pros, who were rolling behind their normal performance (so they say). The swim was the easiest of all the years I've done this race, and my my worst time. In the end the swim took me 48 minutes. I think my best time in Galveston was 43.
The swim was wetsuit optional and I chose to move to the wetsuit wave. With 50+ relays, we weren't in contention for anything, so we kept it light and fun. I was a bit uncomfortable until the first turn, but then found my pace. I swam, what seemed, pretty darned straight. So straight that I wished I wore my Garmin. And I didn't wear my Garmin, well, because I didn't want to suck the fun out of it. and see bad data…
For sale is a previously loved 2003 51 cm Specialized Allez Vita women's specific road bike. While it has normal signs of wear and tear for a bike that has been previously loved for 6 years, it has been cared for and tuned up as needed. It has 3 small nics on the main tube (pictured below), they are the size of nail heads, but the bento box covers it. which I'll include, if you want. This bike has been great to me and has tons of mileage left in it. It has seen me through countless rides, 2 MS150s and a dozen triathlons, without fail. :)
The bike is a dark burgundy with lighter burgundy zebra strips across the main tube. Very nice design... almost always received at least one, "that's a sexy bike!" at a ride. :) I am between 5'5" and 5'6" in height.
I will also throw in a (worn twice) pearl-white Bell Helmet and a Profile Design dual-bottle holder. I have The bike does has a Body Geometry "Dolce" WSD seat and Time style mountain bik…
